This was filmed not long after Edward Woodward had his heart attack which is the reason he deosn’t star in it as much in a number of episodes which all star Richard Jordan
Copeland’s album was The Equalizer and Other Cliff Hangers and was rearrangements of various pieces used over the series. I have the vinyl LP. I am very old.
It was available on CD as well and I got a copy on amazon for $20.00. I almost got it for $6.00 on Ebay but some idiot came in at the last minute and bought it for $6.50. Anyway fuck that guy. it was well worth the money. I would feel pretty cheap buying such a great CD for $6.00.
Does anyone know how much Edward Woodward got paid for being in it?
As it was a successful American TV show I imagine it must have been the most lucrative work of his career.
The theme music for The Equalizer was created by Stewart Copeland, (formerly the drummer for The Police), and it was available on cassete in the 1990’s.
I loved Harley Gage and Robert McCall. Richard Jordan and Edward Woodward–two brilliant actors who are much missed. Thanks for posting these episodes.
And then Woodward outlived Jordan by 16 years. Go figure.

Top shelf! Thanks for posting this. Any chance you could post the gun battle at the end of the episode? The music in there is outstanding!
Best show of the 80’s!
Universal has released Season 1 on DVD in 2008. Hopefully the other 3 Seasons will be released soon.
1. I guess I’ll be a fan of the sow someday.
2. Stewart once again makes nice music in the first scene.
I loved this show, I love Edward Woodward, I loved Richard Jordan. Thanks for posting.
This must be a later season, I only have 1 on DVD, can’t wait to have them all.

The best spy show ever on TV. It was so good they could not stand it and took it off.
